On this day, at around this time, the Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia was assassinated in a car bomb outside her home in Bidnija.
Daphne still remains a role model to many journalists who seek to report the truth no matter what it takes. Although she was a controversial journalist, one must admire her persistence in her work, persistence which she showed till the end of her life.
A mother, a sister, a daughter, a wife, but overall, a human, who should not have met her end in such a brutal way.
