After releasing 3 singles in 3 years, local alt-rock band Bennie Blue has just released their first EP containing 8 songs on nostalgia, and end-of-summer melancholia.
Some songs are sprinkled with political commentary that touches on the failings of the political system and widespread indifference.

Bennie Blue is composed of singer and guitarist Hadrien Meilleur, Owen Caruana on guitar, Andrew Debono on drums, and Daniel Ellul on bass.
While grounding itself in the alt-rock genre, electric influences, catchy melodies, and enthralling lyrics give the band a unique sound.

Having released the album on the first week of September, the band will be playing all eight songs live on the 14th of October at the Hoppy Hare Pub. Older and unreleased material will also be played. Eyes to Argus keyboardist Robert Farrugia will also be joining the band for the evening.
Tickets can be purchased directly from the band, or at the door. More information can be accessed through the band’s Facebook event.
Santa Rita was recorded at Temple Studios with engineering and production handled by David Vella.
