Where I Like to Read

Good evening everyone! Hope everyone’s having a good Sunday and y’all are snuggled up with a book in this cold weather!

For this week, I decided to talk about the spots where I read.

1. My bed: This is one of my all-time favorites! I love ending the day with a cup of tea and my blanket, losing myself in a book. I normally sit upright on my pillow to support my back. Unfortunately, I don’t have a bedpost, so at certain points, I have to change my position due to back pains, but I love it. Sometimes my cat, Luna, also joins me and it just makes the experience all the more pleasant. 
2. The couch: My next favorite place is the couch in my living room. It’s made of leather and it’s been in the family for a while. I normally nap on it from time to time to as it’s not bad for a small rest. I normally use this area to read my uni books and sometimes, my pleasure reads. Funnily enough, it’s better for my back than my bed! I normally use this space when I don’t have a lot to do during the day or it’s more of a reading than a theory day.
3. My desk: This is the spot that I’ve been using more and more recently as there’s so much to get done! It helps as I won’t have to stay moving around and trying to get comfortable, but as I’m sure all of you know, bending your back for a long amount of time tends to hurt! I tend to put my feet up sometimes and that makes it a little better. Or I move around the room a bit for a few minutes as a small break, and that helps too.

And those are my main spots. I also tend to read on park benches, in cafes, and sometimes even in my car if I’m waiting for someone or I’m early for an event. When I was working I also used to read in our lounge during the breaks!
